The Tournament Players Association provides an opportunity for the Newcastle region's best bowlers to play against first class opposition every week. The competition provides a "First Division" in Tenpin bowling to provide competition for tournament level bowlers and a focus point for the media. The TPA also provides a "Second Division" where bowlers who do not yet qualify for the first division are encouraged to improve their skill levels and progress with the sport of Tenpin bowling.

| The StopMaster Invitational | |

The StopMaster Invitational is the TPA's "First
Division" competition. All players in the invitational must be
able to demonstrate an average of greater than 180.

The TPA Shield is the TPA's "Second Division" competition for bowlers
with an average of less than 180.
